From Acres USA, the foremost eco agricultural magazine in the USA, and available to patients in my waiting room, comes this interesting bit of health news.
“A study of a computer-simulated community of 100,000 people (resembling the population of Olmsted County, MN) showed that a diet rich in omega-3 fats worked better for preventing death than defibrillators in homes and public places, even better than implanted defibrillators. Increased consumption of omega-3 reduced the overall death rate by 6.4%, defibrillators by 0.8%, and implants by 3.3%.”
