More News About Aspartame – But Beware

Monsanto’s cash cow is about to die. Europe’s largest producer of Nutrasweet, Holland Sweetener, has lost so much money that they are considering stopping production. Merisant, our top Nutrasweet producer lost 29% of their U.S. sales in 2004 and 2005 and has 100 million more debt than assets.

This is the result of hundreds of courageous doctors, publishers, and broadcasters who have testified before congress, written books, and published a huge pile of research demonstrating the incredibly deleterious effects of Nutrasweet.

That’s great news, but 25 years too late. As the evidence has mounted that Nutrasweet has contributed to the growing incidence of brain tumors, organ cancers, and neurological disease, while actually contributing to weight gain (exactly the opposite of what it is claimed to do), Monsanto and the remainder of the Nutrasweet manufacturers and suppliers continue to influence our government by buying and lying. I believe it won’t be long before they will fall to the same fate the tobacco manufacturers have recently experienced.

As the word has spread about Nutrasweet (aspartame), another chemical sweetener has taken the top spot among tabletop toxins. Splenda is a tri-chlorinated sugar, which releases chlorine into the body, destroying the immune system and other vital functions. All this, just to satisfy our addiction to anything sweet. You’ve been warned over and over about artificial sweeteners, so beware. If you have to sweeten, use stevia.
