Apparently, the same combination of antioxidant nutrients that are so important in the treatment of type II diabetes are equally important to stop and reverse oxidative damage at the mitochondrial level. Preliminary human trials are suggesting that this combination of antioxidants – Acetyl l-Carnetine and Alpha Lipoic acid – has the same effect on people.

Some time ago, at Duke University, some oncologists (cancer specialists) decided to experiment. It is now realized that there are approximately 600 enzymes that need vitamins and minerals to function properly. Research has shown that defective enzyme genes are repairable with a higher dose of the proper vitamin or mineral.
