Apparently, the same combination of antioxidant nutrients that are so important in the treatment of type II diabetes are equally important to stop and reverse oxidative damage at the mitochondrial level. Preliminary human trials are suggesting that this combination of antioxidants – Acetyl l-Carnetine and Alpha Lipoic acid – has the same effect on people.
